This is a concept art for an animated short film I wrote. I'm making the Animatic, but I'm not sure If I'm actually doing this short film.

Esta foto fue sacada hace un tiempo, cuando estaba en eso de contratar a los actores para mi corto animado "Don't Scare Cow". Es solo Back Stage, ya verán algunas ilustraciones y Concept Arts del corto tal vez la semana que viene. Por ahora estoy haciendo el animatic (que me está llevando pila de tiempo).

Bueno, luego de haberme ausentado del blog cierto tiempo, les traigo el último corto en el que he estado trabajando.  Este corto lo hicimos para la maratón audiovisual 7D organizada por el ICAU donde participan distintas escuelas de cine y animación, y consiste en hacer un corto animado en 2 semanas (en el caso de ficcion es 1 semana). El máximo de duración es de 1 minuto, asi que habia que hacer una historia concreta y sencilla de contar en pocos planos.

Bueno, logramos terminarlo a tiempo, nos quedó un lindo resultado, y nos premiaron a mejor corto animado.

A continuación les muestro algunas de las ilustraciones que estoy haciendo para un especie de cuento de terror infantil que escribí el otro día. Me quedan 2 o 3 dibujos más, cuando las termine todas las subo con el cuento incluido.

Los Revoltosos

Los Revoltosos are a big proyect of a cartoon series which is being planned by CarqueJa Studios. These are the main characters, and they are inspired in ourselves. From left to right: Buco, Sosa (me), Nacho and Franco.
This is just a concept, not the last designs.
We have like 80 ideas for episodes and comics. Who knows when will we made them...

Estas son versiones viejas de los personajes Zak y Zip de mi proyecto "Zak, maestro del disfraz"
¡Han cambiado muchisimo! Deberian ver los primeros dibujos, han pasado por un gran proceso de evolución.

Zak's rival/ La rival de Zak

[ESP]
Dejenme presentarles a un tercer personaje para el proyecto de serie animada que estoy creando llamado: "Zak, el Maestro del Disfraz". Ella es... bueno, en realidad no tengo un nombre definitivo, tal vez puedan ayudarme a escoger uno. Por ahora, su nombre de referencia es "Zip".

(Zip estaria bien, pero si el protagonista se llama Zak y su rival es Zip puede parecer un plagio a Invasor Zim)

Siendo Zip la rival de Zak, su personalidad es totalmente opuesta a la de él; está demente, es orgullosa, destructiva y tiene pocos valores, simplemente le gustan la acción y las armas.
Al igual que Zak, ella es una camaleón, y también una espía profesional. Ambos suelen pelearse mucho, a veces porque sus misiones se cruzan y otras veces porque deben hacer trabajo en equipo, cosa que para ellos es imposible debido a sus diferencias.
Me encanta este personaje, va a hacer que la serie tenga ese toque interesante de la rivalidad y por supuesto que lo hace divertido y cómico.
Y ahora que la conocen mejor, ¿Qué nombre le pondrían ustedes?

Let me introduce to you a third character for the proyect of the cartoon series I'm creating called "Zak, The Master of Disguise". She is... well, I don't have actually a name for her, maybe you could help me choosing one, but by now her referencial name is "Zip".

(Zip would be Ok, but if the main is called Zak, and the rival is called Zip it would look like I'm copying to Invader Zim's names.)

Well, as Zip being Zak's rival, she has the oposite personality; she is insane, proud and with a lack of values, she just love action, destruction and weapons.
Like Zak, she is a chameleon too, and also a professional spy. They are usually fighting each other, sometimes because Zak and Zip's missions made them being enemies but in other episodes they have to make a teem work, which is always a complicated task between them because their diferences.
I love this character, It will make the show very intresting, fun and funny.
Now you know more about her, what name do you think it could fit her?

Proyectos 2012

Today I'm not uploading art in this post, but I have a lot of things to tell you about my life and proyects.
Firstly, I'm learning After Effects with an experienced animator from Sudafrica. I loved the program and having more skills in this software will help me a lot, I started to see things more easy to make now.
Secondly, I'm starting my animation classes next week, I'm very exited and anxious about it, I haven't been losing my time in holydays, I've been drawing a lot every day from real life (my pets, my hands, feet, face, places, objects, characters, clothes, etc). I have to get better, because I'm planning to take forward my animation studies outside in U.S.A. or Canada, so, I need to improove my skills because I can't do it without financial aids.
I also need to have some work experience this year so I can improve my curriculum. Yesterday I recived a call from a cousing asking me if I could make a 3D model for an architecture proyect. I accepted and I'm now waiting for more detailed instructions about the design.
I also want to try writting a novel, there is a writting contest this year and I have a lot of ideas, I need to take my time to develop them.
And what about my short films? CarqueJa has been working on a new project, a new animation for a short film festival with a very nice prize, which is a big oportunity for us.
I will be telling you more about the short film we are making in later posts.

Kelly Kit es la mascota de Zak, del proyecto de serie animada "Zak, master of disguise". Ella es una pequeña y tierna gatita que ama a su dueño y lo ayuda secretamente en sus investigaciones.
Hay muchas cosas que podría hablar acerca de su personalidad, pero por ahora los dejo con esos dibujos.

Kelly Kit is Zak's pet. from my cartoon series proyect "Zak, master of disguise". She is a cute little cat who loves her owner and secretly helps him in investigations.
There is a lot of things I could talk about her personality, but I leave you with those drawings by now.

En este post especial me dedico a presentarles al personaje principal de un proyecto de serie animada que cree (no producí) para mi curso de Animación Profesional.
Zak es un camaleón espia detective cuya piel cambia tanto voluntaria como involuntariamente.
Saqué A en el proyecto, hacerlo fue genial, probé varios estilos para el diseño y este fue el más original.
Subiré más imágenes mas adelante, por ahora disfruten estas poses.

Today, in this special post, I will show you the main character of a cartoon I created (not produced yet) for my Professional Animation academy.
Zak is a chameleon detective and spy whose skin color changes both voluntarily and involuntarily.
I got an A for the proyect, making it was an amazing experience, I tried a lot of diferent desings and this was the most original and cool.
I will upload more images later, for now enjoy all these poses.
