Well, these are some 7 to 10 minute drawings of people. I'm practicing because next week I'll be working in a Samsung event doing some free portraits in a celphone.

Joe Kelly in Animation Campus

Some weeks ago, my animation school recived a visit by Joe Kelly, one of the creators of Ben 10. I attended to his speech, it was a very motivational one, he told us about his beginings and stuff, and then we made him a lot of questions. We learnt a lot about the business side and what makes a cartoon successful.
Joe is not an animator or a character designer, he is a story writer.
Don't marry your stories if you pretend to sell them, the business men will always make a lot of changes on it.
I uploaded a photo of the event, the tall guy is Joe Kelly, and I am at his left-behind.

Some months ago I went to another speech in the ORT, by Robert Lance, a very experienced Disney animator who worked in very succesful animated movies like Toy Story, Bugs, Beauty and the Beast, etc.
It's nice to attend to speeches about experienced people, you get motivated about your future and also gives you hints and recomendations. And it helps you to previsualize how the real world is, the bussiness side of your work.
So, If you have the chance, don't miss it.
