Happy Birthday, Invader Zim/ Feliz cumpleaños, Invasor Zim

[ESP]

Hoy es el cumpleaños de un memorable dibujo animado, y a pesar de haber sido cancelado, Invasor Zim ha sido un gran Hit con muchisimos seguidores. Es mi dibujo animado preferido, no solo por tratarse de un alienigena sino también por su humor ácido o el oscuro y bizarro mundo en el que se ambienta. Los humanos lucen como totales idiotas, especialmente los adultos. Tiene chistes muy graciosos y exagerados, ¿Quién no ama ver la inocencia de Gir, o la testarudez de Zim?
Me encanta como Gaz puede mostrar su oscura presencia e indiferencia ante todo.
Jhonen Vasquez debe haber puesto todo su corazón en su creación, se siente como si el creador realmente odiaba el mundo humano.
Hoy, Invasor Zim cumple 11 años desde su primer episodio al aire, y hoy en día se lo considera un éxito de culto.

Today is the birthday of a memorable cartoon, although being cancelled, Invader Zim has made a lot of fans. More over, it's my favourite cartoon, not only because it's about an alien but also because of the acid jokes and the dark bizarre world in which they live. Humans are like totally idiots, specially adults. It has very funny and exagerated jokes, who doesn't love Gir's so stupid but cute personality, or Zim's stubbornness?
I love how Gaz can show so much darkness and indifference.
Jhonen Vasquez must have put all his heart in his creation, you feel like if the creator really hated the human world.
Today, 11 years back, Invader Zim had it's first episode on air, and nowadays it is considered a cult hit.

Clothing / indumentaria

Mis personajes suelen vestir ropa muy sencilla. Tal vez las gabardinas y sacos son lo más elaborado que hago. Por eso decidí buscar sobre estilos de indumentaria en internet y sacar ideas para mis personajes. Me enamoré de la estética Steam Punk, con sus sofisticados detalles. También dibujé de una página de internet ropa medieval, que es genial.

Asi que ya saben, pueden echar un vistazo por la internet y encontrar muchas ideas para vestir a sus personajes.

My characters usually wear very simple clothes. Maybe raincoats are the most elaborated clothing in my characters. So, I decided to try looking for different styles of clothing to collect ideas. I fell in love with the Steam Punk designs, with those sofisticated details. I also drew medieval clothes, wich are cool too.
So, you can take look on the internet and you will find a lot of ideas to dress your characters.

Scenery/ Paisajes

Tomá asiento y dibuja lo que ves.
Escenografía o paisajes es algo que no me sale muy bien, entonces, ¿Por qué no practicar? Ese es un muy buen consejo para todo aquel aspirante artista. Como dibujante, se supone que tenés que aprender a dibujar y dominar todos los campos, así cuando en un futuro tengas que dibujar algo que no te gusta al menos te lo vas a poder sacar de encima fácilmente.
Recuerda que tienes que dibujar todo el tiempo y en todos lados. Yo a veces dibujo a la gente en los ómnibus, y no se sientan avergonzados de hacerlo libremente, aunque es preferible que sean algo discretos, claro.
Pero al menos es relajante sentarte en una plaza y comenzar a dibujar el paisaje, tomarte tu tiempo dibujando al aire libre.

Have a sit somewhere and draw what you see.
Scenery is something I'm not good at, Why not practising it? And that is a very good and important tip for every amateur artist. You don't have to draw only what you like to draw but also try to draw what you are not good at. You, as an artist, are supposed to learn to draw everything, you have to reinforce your weaknesses, so when you have to draw something you don't like in a future, at least you can easily do it.
Remember to draw everytime and everywhere, drawing is a hard hobby. Sometimes I draw the people at the bus, don't be shy to do that, but maybe is better if you are discret.

Hands and feets

Las manos son probablemente la parte mas complicada de dibujar del cuerpo, tantos dedos confusos y entreverados. Los pies también son algo complicados, a mi me cuestan incluso mas que las manos.
Es un buen ejercicio dibujar tus manos y pies todos los días. Yo no implemento ese método en realidad, pero hace unas semanas me lo propuse y así dibujé varias manos y pies.
Hoy subo y comparto algunos dibujos de mis manos, y si, tengo uñas largas.

Hands are probably the most dificult part of the body to draw, so many fingers in confusing positions. Feets are kind of complicated too, I personaly prefeer to draw hands.
It's a good exercise to draw your hands and feets almost every day.
I don't actually do that, but some week ago I started that practice methodology and drew lots of hands. So, today I upload some real-life drawings of hands, and yes, I have long nails.

El primero es solo otra caricatura de mi, y la segunda es un retrato caricatura de una amiga.

Zak's rival/ La rival de Zak

[ESP]
Dejenme presentarles a un tercer personaje para el proyecto de serie animada que estoy creando llamado: "Zak, el Maestro del Disfraz". Ella es... bueno, en realidad no tengo un nombre definitivo, tal vez puedan ayudarme a escoger uno. Por ahora, su nombre de referencia es "Zip".

(Zip estaria bien, pero si el protagonista se llama Zak y su rival es Zip puede parecer un plagio a Invasor Zim)

Siendo Zip la rival de Zak, su personalidad es totalmente opuesta a la de él; está demente, es orgullosa, destructiva y tiene pocos valores, simplemente le gustan la acción y las armas.
Al igual que Zak, ella es una camaleón, y también una espía profesional. Ambos suelen pelearse mucho, a veces porque sus misiones se cruzan y otras veces porque deben hacer trabajo en equipo, cosa que para ellos es imposible debido a sus diferencias.
Me encanta este personaje, va a hacer que la serie tenga ese toque interesante de la rivalidad y por supuesto que lo hace divertido y cómico.
Y ahora que la conocen mejor, ¿Qué nombre le pondrían ustedes?

Let me introduce to you a third character for the proyect of the cartoon series I'm creating called "Zak, The Master of Disguise". She is... well, I don't have actually a name for her, maybe you could help me choosing one, but by now her referencial name is "Zip".

(Zip would be Ok, but if the main is called Zak, and the rival is called Zip it would look like I'm copying to Invader Zim's names.)

Well, as Zip being Zak's rival, she has the oposite personality; she is insane, proud and with a lack of values, she just love action, destruction and weapons.
Like Zak, she is a chameleon too, and also a professional spy. They are usually fighting each other, sometimes because Zak and Zip's missions made them being enemies but in other episodes they have to make a teem work, which is always a complicated task between them because their diferences.
I love this character, It will make the show very intresting, fun and funny.
Now you know more about her, what name do you think it could fit her?
